More than stars
Star parties and an newly renovated planetarium await you. Friday nights feature two planetarium shows and a chance to look through the telescope. The renovations to the planetarium will be finished by February, 2017 and will make this a state-of-the-art facility featuring 4K projections to over 170 seats, making it the largest planetarium in the state. You’ll find more than astronomy here, like shows on the human body and geology in this IMAX-like theater.

This is where you will want to be in Greenville for the 2017 Solar Eclipse. It is an event that happens once every 200 years in one location. There are events planned all weekend long including planetarium shows, hands on activities and different view stations the day of the event.
This place is where you want to bring your junior scientists. There's a STEM center, a Natural Science building and a Living History Farm plus the Observatory and planetarium. They see 400-600 students a day taking advantage of these educational opportunities.
