Mashbox Falls has no trail associated with it so its a pretty strenuous hike and directions to this falls is difficult to communicate but the 80-foot falls is definitely worth the hike.
DIRECTIONS:
1. From the Post Office in Cleveland where US 276 and SC 11 meet, take 276 fo 10.1 miles to a narrow gravel road on your RIGHT. In the summer there is often a man who sells apples and honey.
2. Turn down the gravel road and park alongside it.
3. Walk back up to US 276 in and along the guardrail. Near the end of the guardrail you may begin to walk down the mountain for about 0.2 mile toward the sound of the waterfall (to your left).
4. Follow the sound of the falls. If you come up on Oil Camp Creek you are downstream of the falls. Keep left and follow the creek upstream to Mashbox Falls.
