Sweet Thing On Slickum Creek is hidden in a Slickum Creek grotto in upper Greenville County, 0.3 mile past Wildcat Falls.
This waterfall is a beautiful 18-foot plunge over a hollowed-out rock ledge into a large, deep pool. The semi-circular cave behind the falls is large enough to walk through. The ensuing stream levels out below into several small pools for wading or fishing.
Last Falls and Sweet Thing are located along South Carolina’s Highway 11, between the parking area for Wildcat Wayside and the turnoff to Caesars Head State Park on Highway 276. There are no signs or designated parking areas; you need to look for Slickum Creek as it flows under the highway. Park safely on the shoulder of Highway 11 or at Wildcat Wayside and walk 3/10 of a mile to the trailhead.
