The Chapman Cultural Center is the community's preeminent common ground where visitors come to discover, experience, and celebrate the performing and visual arts, science and history.

Designed by nationally acclaimed architect David M. Schwarz, the buildings contain interactive, hands-on science exhibits in the theme areas of "My Body," "My Backyard," "My Garage," and "My Neighborhood" as well as live reptiles in the Science Center; permanent and touring art exhibits in the galleries of the Spartanburg Art Museum; local and regional artist exhibits in the Artists' Guild Gallery; and interactive displays and exhibits focusing on Spartanburg's rich history in the Spartanburg County Regional History Museum.  There is also a 500-seat proscenium style theater and classrooms for dance and visual instruction.
