This is a continuation of the Eastatoe Narrows Trail. You will hike for about 20-30 more minutes past the Eastatoe Narrows to reach this gorgeous fall.
**AS OF MAY 2025, THIS TRAIL REMAINS CLOSED DUE TO HURRICANE HELENE.**
Trailhead GPS Coordinates: 35.049105, -82.816262
DIRECTIONS
From NC: take Hwy 178 south from Hwy 64 in Rosman to the South Carolina state line. From there, drive a little under 2.5 miles and just before the bridge, turn to the right on to the gravel Horsepasture Rd (the upper road when you make the turn).
From SC: the left hand turn on to Horsepasture Rd is about 8 miles north of Hwy 11 off of Hwy 178 just after you cross the bridge.
The trail will be marked by the wooden “Foothills” trail access. This is also the same road to turn on if your destination is the scenic Virginia Hawkins Falls. Travel up a short ways, past the Foothills parking area to the sign for the Eastatoe Heritage Preserve. A red gated road is the trailhead. There is room for 3 or 4 cars here. If full, you may have to backtrack to the Foothills parking area and walk back up the road.
