Located in the heart of the Upcountry is one of the most progressive cities in the United States.

Influenced by the presence of major national and international companies, Greenville mixes cosmopolitan flair with homespun creativity. Greenville County is home to an array of cultural resources including the widely-acclaimed collection of Southern works and the permanent Andrew Wyeth collection at the Greenville County Museum of Art. The Peace Center for the Performing Arts, with a state-of-the-art concert hall, theater, cabaret and amphitheater, is a choice venue for performers of world-wide renown. Greenville’s artistic repertoire includes the top-notch symphonic sounds of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra and many opportunities to see great theater. The Bon Secours Wellness Center is bringing top sports and entertainment to the area as well. The Greenville Convention Center is South Carolina’s largest exhibit and convention facility. Entertainment for the kids is easily had at new Children’s Museum of the Upstate or take them to see wildlife from around the world at the Greenville Zoo. Roper Mountain Science Center features the state’s largest planetarium and the eighth largest refractor telescope in the nation. Encouraged by abundant streams and rivers, textile manufacturers began operating in the Upstate in the 1820s. Over the past thirty years, Greenville County has transformed from the textile capital of the world to a headquarters, manufacturing and warehousing center. Greenville is also known for its high-technology manufacturing, with the engineering industry having a major presence in the area. As South Carolina’s most populous county, Greenville is situated in the northwestern corner of the state and is part of one of the nation’s fastest-growing areas, “The I-85 Corridor.” Greenville is located between Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC on I-85. Blue Ridge Mountains are just 15 minutes away. The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport has been cited by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the top ten airports in the country. Greenville County has a unique blend of southern traditions and international influences, gentle rolling hills, and beautiful majestic mountains.
