Our team hopped back on the Chef Ambassador Trail this week, where we were delighted to pay a visit to 2024 Chef Ambassador Chef Michael Sibert. Known for his New Orleans cuisine and Southern Comfort food, Chef Michael has won numerous awards, from being a Chopped Champion to making USA Today’s “2026 Best Restaurants of the Year” list.
Chef Michael opened White Wine and Butter at Cartwright Food Hall in 2023, then moved the restaurant to the newly renovated clubhouse at Geer Golf in 2025, giving the restaurant a more upscale dining experience. The location is a perfect blend of an upscale country club experience with a relaxed, welcoming environment that makes you feel right at home.
When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by our server Lexi, who’s bubbly and friendly demeanor made us feel like we were part of the family. With an expansive selection of wines and spirits to choose from, Lexi expertly guided us through the bar menu and appetizer selections. We ordered the Burmese Brussels and Crab Claws. The brussels were warm, tangy, and crispy. Doused in a sumac curry butter, the crab was juicy and tasted fresh. Everyone was especially impressed with their drinks.
Now it was time for the main event, entrees. A few opted for the signature O.G. White Wine and Butter Pasta, and they were glad they did.
Saturated in a creamy white wine sauce, the pasta was the perfect blend of cheesy and creamy. The shrimp were plump and fresh, thoughtfully seasoned and slightly charred, perfectly complementing the pasta.
Another table favorite was the Royal Street Pasta. The limoncello butter sauce was savory and creamy. The pasta was drenched in cheese and topped with a generous portion of lobster.
On the topic of portion sizes, if you visit White Wine & Butter, come hungry! The portions are very generous and you will be leaving with a warm heart, satisfied appetite, and plenty of leftovers. We were so full after dinner that there was absolutely no room for dessert!
