Sunflower Festival

Award-winning Denver Downs Farm in Anderson, South Carolina will host the 6th Annual SC Sunflower Festival during the last two weekends of June complete with 10 acres of sunflowers for picking and photography.  Craft vendors, live music, adult beverages, food options, and children’s activities all are available at the farm.

“Our family has always loved sunflowers and what better way to show the love than to invite the public to enjoy them face-to-face on the farm,” said Catherine Garrison Davis, co-owner of Denver Downs Farm. “We fully expect these beauties to inspire tons of smiles and show up all over social media. The Sunflowers are that gorgeous.”

The SC Sunflower Festival at Denver Downs will be open to the public Friday through Sunday the last 2 weekends in June.

June 21 5pm-9pm

June 22 and 23 from 10am-5pm

June 28 from  5pm-9pm

June 29 and June 30 from 10am-5pm

Guests are encouraged to cut the sunflowers and make bouquets in buckets to take home. Photographers are welcome as well. Photographers may take photos during public hours or private photography sessions can be scheduled for times outside of public hours.

Food options include barbeque sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, funnel cakes, and snow cones. Beverages offered on site include the famous Denver Downs lemonade and summer flights of Silo Sangrias and Flower Frose – out of the Vine and Barrel Beer Garden in the middle of the farm.

“We are hoping that families, flower enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone else looking to enjoy these early summer beauties come out to the festival,” said Davis. “We will have 14 exotic varieties of sunflowers that many people have never seen before. This year we are looking forward to being open on Friday evenings for all the guests to enjoy sunsets looking out over the sunflower field!”

Children’s activities will be open during the festival including the Mountain Slide, jumping pillow, zipline, slides, ball zone, ropes course, climbing wall, dodgeball, gaga pit, and the Double D Gem Mine. Adorable farm animals will be ready for their photos to be taken including our goats, mini horses, chickens, and the Guernsey cow.

Dogs on leashes are permitted to attend.

Vendor slots are all full, but Photographers may complete the interest applications on the website. Tickets online are $24.99 per person and include all activities, live music, farm animals, and opportunities to get that perfect photo in the sunflower field.
