Ziplining in the Upcountry

Have you ever wanted to feel like you can fly? From Greenville to Long Creek, to Sunset, SC, there is no shortage of high-flying fun and obstacle course adventures for kids, teens, and adults alike. 

  • Wildwater Chattooga Zipline Canopy Tours – Location: 1251 Academy Road, Long Creek, SC,  29658
    • These tours take you through multiple ecosystems into grand white oak and maple treetops.  Their zipline features over ½ mile of air time with 10 ziplines between trees and platforms, two sky bridges, and ends with the 1200-foot Bell Tower Express that launches off their 50-foot tower.  All Canopy Tour Rangers are trained and all courses are built and inspected to ACCT Standards. Prices start at ~$99 with trips taking approximately three hours. Book your youth (starting at 8 yrs. old) or adult packages here
    • Hours/Season: Early March — October 31, Monday – Sunday (9 am – 5 pm)

  • Upstate Zipline – Location: 128 Museum Cir, Sunset, SC, 29685
    • This newly opened zipline park sits across from Keowee-Toxaway State Park. You’ll enjoy mountain views, zip over lakes, and short nature walks on the way to a bridge that reaches hundreds of feet above the treetops. Here, there are different tours to choose from, including full moon tours starting at 9 pm and ending in campfires with smores; zipline tours (approximately 2 hours long, starting at ~$89); and accessible zipline tours coming soon!   • Treetop Quest – Location: 16 Alma Street, Greenville, SC, 29617
    • Conveniently located inside Westside Park, only five minutes from downtown Greenville! Explore over 60 obstacles and zip lines in the trees. Gloves are required to purchase for the courses (which are self-guided) or ziplines or you can bring your own. The Chick Pea Course is a fun challenge for the youngest adventurers (ground supervision is required, for ages 4-6, priced at ~$20). Next are the Level 1 & Level 2 beginner and intermediate courses (ages 7+) for kids and adults, a fun family challenge. Level 3 is all zip lines, an adrenaline rush without the work (Ages 7+)! Then Level 4 is a difficult obstacle course that will engage your balance and strength (Ages 12+). Pricing ranges from ~$35-$45/person. For tickets and directions, check out the link here.
    • Hours/Season: Opens March 9th for the 2024 season. Normal hours, Saturday – Sunday (10 am – 3:30 pm)
Treetop Quest in Greenville, SC. 
  • Flying Rabbit Adventures – Location: 821 Laurens Rd, Greenville, SC, 29607
    • Built on five acres of wooded land near downtown Greenville and the Swamp Rabbit Trail, they offer participants a three-story obstacle course featuring 60 uniquely designed experiences. There are two different courses to choose from – the Aerial Adventure course (Level One access starts at ~$40, and Full Access at ~$60, both 2.5 hours), and Orville’s Kids course (2 hours of play is ~$30). Their kid’s course, suited to their skill level, consists of 10 obstacles. If you’re solely interested in ziplining without the obstacle course portion, this starts at ~$15/person with three zipline trips. Make sure to check out their Twilight Trip, with all the great obstacles and ziplines from the Aerial Adventure course – in the dark!
