October 23, 2025 – Belton Area Museum Association’s 8th Annual Ghost Walk: Tours begin at 6 PM and will depart from the depot every 15 minutes until 8:15 PM. Each tour will last approximately 1 1/2 hours. Limited slots are available. Tours will be family-friendly in content.
October 24, 2025 – Pendleton Ghost Walk: A one-mile moonlit walk through Pendleton, where you’ll hear true stories of tragedy, mystery, and ghostly encounters connected to the town’s past. This guided experience lasts 60–90 minutes and blends folklore with documented history. Children are welcome, but discretion is advised due to the nature of some stories.
October 25, 2025 – Woodburn House Ghost Tour: Explore the haunted halls on upcoming Friday and Saturday nights, now through November 1st! RSVP is required.

November 1, 2025 – Ashtabula Ghost Tour 2025: Adults only. One of South Carolina’s most haunted locations! Not for the weak in heart. A 200 year old haunted plantation house tour! RSVP is required.
Greenville County
October 24, 2025 – October 31, 2025 – Greer Ghost Tours: Choose from two walking tours full of Greer’s wild and frightening stories, from its rough start on Trade Street to the bodies left behind in its first cemetery. The Trade Street walking tour is the classic, and gives you the background you need to understand the stories on the Graveyard tour. Tickets are required.

October 18, 2025 – March 1, 2026 – Beyond Halloween Land: Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: The doors of the Upcountry History Museum have now opened to the enchanting world of animation with Beyond Halloween Land: Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, an exhibition dedicated to the iconic 1993 stop-action film. Featuring a carefully curated collection of original artwork and maquettes crafted for Burton’s film, this exhibition invites visitors into the creative scope of animated movie production before the era of computer-generated imagery. On display are some conceptual drawings related to the labor-intensive stop animation process used to produce this extraordinary example of turning words into visuals.
As an added bonus, the Upcountry History Museum is showcasing its 1890s-era horse-drawn hearse from Oct. 28 through Nov. 9. Complementing this piece of Greater Greenville history will be some related mourning items from our Collection to help add to the “spirit” of the Halloween holiday.

Friday nights at 8PM – Spooky Spartanburg Ghost Tours: Spooky Spartanburg Ghost Tours is led by lead Spartanburg guide Isaak Ivey. Isaak is a psychic medium, paranormal magician, and member of Truth Searchers: Paranormal Investigators, where he is a Paranormal Investigator In Training (PIIT).
October 25, 2025 – All Hallow’s Eve at Historic Walnut Grove: During the day, families (and pets!) can enjoy a kid-friendly Halloween experience with trick-or-treating at our historic buildings, hayrides, colonial toys and games, candle making, and a dog costume contest at 3:00 p.m. As evening falls, the atmosphere turns delightfully spooky with candlelit walks to the cemetery, eerie strolls along the nature trail, family stories of the past, campfire tales, s’mores, and more.
