2025 Labor Day Weekend Fun in the Upcountry

Kick back and relax, we’ve done the work for you in this event list for 2025 Labor Day Weekend Fun in the Upcountry! From sporting games to food festivals and art events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy on this upcoming holiday weekend.

Friday – 8/29:

  • Greenville Drive vs. Bowling Green at Fluor Field – Location: 945 South Main Street, Greenville, SC, 29601. Date(s) & Times: August 29th – 30th, starting at 6:45 pm daily. Don’t miss these MiLB weekend games against the Bowling Green Hot Rods! Don’t miss the Friday night fireworks show after the last out of the game, along with celebrating 20 years of Fluor Field. Then on Saturday, it’s free family fun at District 356 before the home game! Inflatable games, face painting, player autographs, live music, and food & drinks available for purchase!
  • Weekend River Floats – Location: 1001 Old Easley Hwy, Greenville, SC, 29611. Date(s) & Times: Fridays – Sundays, May 23rd – Sept. 21st, 2025 (10 am – 4 pm). Relax on this lazy river float, just 10 minutes outside downtown Greenville! The average float is 2.5 hours, and you must be 42″ tall to participate. Ticket purchase includes tube, life jacket rental, and shuttle service. Buy your tickets in advance online!

Saturday – 8/30:

  • The Upstate Food Truck Festival – Location: Reedy Fork Fairgrounds, 907 S Garrison Rd, Simpsonville, SC, 29680. Date(s) & Times: Aug. 30th, 11 am – 9 pm. Over 25 food, beverage, and dessert trucks will be on site at this free festival, along with live music and DJs to entertain the whole family!
  • Hub City Art Hop – Location: The Art Lounge, 1410 Skylyn Dr., Spartanburg, SC, 29307. Date(s) & Times: Aug. 30th, 2 pm – 7 pm. Explore this outdoor market, featuring over 40+ talented artists and makers, showcasing handcrafted art, jewelry, decor, and more. Inside The Art Lounge, don’t miss immersive art experiences and more local vendors!
  • SC Pawpaw Festival – Location: Blue Oak Horticulture LLC, 198 Fews Bridge Road, Taylors, SC, 29687. Date(s) & Times: Aug. 30th, 3 – 8 pm (gates open at 2:30 pm). Don’t miss the 3rd Annual SC Pawpaw Festival, complete with tickets for a free tasting of Pawpaw fruit, Educational plant walks with local experts, Live bluegrass music, Shopping with artisans and makers, Food and beverage with local food trucks (featuring pawpaw flavored culinary delights).   • 5th Annual Jazz in the Garden – Location: Indigo Hall Events, 190 Ezell St., Spartanburg, SC, 29306. Date(s) & Times: Aug. 30th, starting at 5 pm. Enjoy music from Grammy-nominated jazz musician Hank Bilal, world-renowned violinist Rhett Price, and many more! Bring your friends and family for a memorable evening with outstanding performances.   • Dacusville Farm Show – Location: 3147 Earls Bridge Rd., Easley, SC, 29640. Date(s) & Times: Aug. 30th – 31st, gates open at 8 am daily. It’s the 12th Annual Dacusville Farm Show! This two-day event features live music and shows, a kids’ zone, entertainment, tractor and farm equipment demos, and much more! Tickets are $10 (cash only) at the gate, and parking is free!

Sunday – 8/31:

  • Celebrate Anderson – Location: William A Floyd Amphitheater, 3027 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Anderson, SC, 29625. Date(s) & Times: Aug. 31st, starting at 10 am. For over 26 years, Anderson has hosted this annual event to celebrate Labor Day Weekend, featuring a concert, free fireworks show, and more! Before the concert, join the Shock City Jeep Club for the free Jeep Extravaganza, 10 am – 5 pm, in the Civic Center of Anderson parking lot. Featuring live music, Food Vendors, Raffles, local makers, and more! Attendance is free to the public for the Jeep Extravaganza. Gates open at 6 pm for the Kool & the Gang concert! Tickets are free; however, they are required for entry. Snag your seat here!
