It’s showtime! On December 2, 2022 at 6pm, the City of Gaffney will kick off its annual Christmas festivities. Watch storylines from the silver screen come to life in Gaffney’s historic downtown during the annual nighttime Christmas parade. Participants are encouraged to decorate entries to the theme of their favorite Christmas character(s) from a movie, tv show or play. The parade will begin at College Drive and travel up Limestone Street onto Railroad Avenue and disburse at Jolly Park.
Don’t worry, there’s more!
Festivities will continue in downtown Gaffney until 9pm with fun for the whole family. There will be inflatables, rides, craft vendors, shopping, food, spirits, music and more! Take a stroll through the 16th Annual “Festival of Trees” in the lobbies of Gaffney’s City Hall where attendees can donate money to vote for their favorite tree. All funds collected will go to the organization receiving the votes. The ugliness returns with the annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest, sponsored by WZZQ! We want to see everyone (that is brave enough) with sweaters bedazzled with snowmen, lights, reindeer and more! Winner receives $100 cash!
Santa Claus is comin’ to town! Santa is scheduled to make his appearance in Gaffney to join in on the fun! Santa will be available from 7pm-9pm for photo opportunities in City Hall Park by the Christmas tree. Have your wish list ready for Santa? Bring your letters to Santa with you to personally drop them in Santa’s mailbox for him to take back to the North Pole.
Hold up! There’s more!
Gaffney’s award-winning Christmas Laser Light Show is a must see! The family-friendly laser shows include the latest musical hits, mind-blowing lasers, and fantastic graphic effects. Shows begin at 6pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights and will run every 30 minutes until 10:00pm in Jolly Park, located at 102 Railroad Avenue! The weekend is filled with activities for everyone to enjoy, all free admission!
